Travel Basketball
Kiwanis Travel Basketball Mission Statement:
Serving the youth of Hudson by promoting character development, self esteem, and perseverance in addition to teaching the fundamentals of competitive basketball in league and tournament play while having fun.
What does the logo PASS mean?
Perseverance, Attitude, Sportsmanship and Service. PASS will be the mantra for all Kiwanis Travel Teams--coaches and players. Every child will have the ability to learn these key traits throughout the season.
The Hudson Kiwanis Travel Basketball Program will offer your child an opportunity to play basketball in a competitive league and tournament play. With over 100 kids and over 20 parent and independent coaches, we have a strong program and we are committed to making it even stronger.
Over the last several years we have put a plan together for the upcoming season and will focus on these main areas for enhancement:
- Continue to enhance communication -- with the website, email and text abilities
- Committed to try‐outs with independent, impartial evaluators
- Streamlined practice times and locations (2x per week during season)
- Spirit Wear
Please contact a member of our Basketball Committee if you have questions, suggestions or would like to participate as a coach or volunteer as a team parent.

Service Opportunities
Service Opportunities for Travel Basketball Players
Service is one of the key values of the Hudson Kiwanis organization. Teaching to give back is a wonderful opportunity for children to see that they are important enough to make a difference in someone’s life in addition to their own. Working within or outside the community providing service allows children the opportunity to see and touch people’s lives with different backgrounds, abilities, ethnicities, ages, and education. Allowing your children to give back can be a very important and gratifying experience.
One of the biggest fundraisers for the Hudson Kiwanis organization is the Hudson Hoops Classic. Money generated from these weekend tournaments will be given back to serve our community, scholarships, and our local schools. You will be asked during the season to give up a few hours of your time to volunteer at this event. It is critical that we have your participation in order to make these tournaments a success for our teams, our children and our community.
We are also working towards a service opportunity for the Hudson Kiwanis travel basketball players. If you have ideas for service projects, please reach out to the Service Director or a member of the travel basketball committee.
